Dr. Chadwick Roberts 

Founder, Host

Dr. Chadwick Roberts is an assistant professor in the Communication Studies Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He earned his Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University. His research interests include alternative media, comics studies, new media, feminist media, and popular culture in general.

Dr. Roberts teaches a variety of courses including new media, media literacy, rhetorical theory, the rhetoric of popular culture and sexuality and gender.

Dr. Katie Peel

Founder, Prior Co-host

Dr. Katie Peel is a Professor in the English Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. Her research interests include queer literature and theory, Victorian, Holocaust, and young adult literature, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. When Dr. Peel isn’t teaching, researching, or podcasting, she enjoys reality television or women’s basketball. Her book, Readers and Mistresses: Kept Women in Victorian Literature, will be published by Manchester University Press in September 2024. It’s really queer.
